Satara
About Satara
The "Cat Camp" of Kruger. Situated in open grassy plains which attract large herds of grazers, subsequently drawing high concentrations of lions.
Often referred to as the "Cat Camp," Satara is situated in expansive, flat grass plains in the central region of the park. The sweet grazing draws massive herds of zebra, wildebeest, and buffalo, which inevitably brings a very high density of lions. It is arguably the best camp in Kruger for seeing large prides of lions and frequent cheetah sightings on the open plains.
